Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest park at 3893 sq kms with savannah vegetation dissected by the River Nile.
At the falls the river Nile squeezes dramatically through a narrow cleft in the rocks before exploding into the bubbles below.
The game life includes herds of elephants, hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, plenty of antelopes and a good population of lions.
The almost distinct shoebill stork is often seen in the papyrus swamps of the Nile and Budongo forest is home to chimpanzees.
Kibale National Park is home to 13 primate species including the red colobus monkeys.
Kibale's major attractions are to track habituated chimpanzees.
Join a guided walk looking for these wild habituated chimpanzees.
Generally a two- three hour walk along the defined trails will lead you to a family of chimpanzees.
These apes are tremendous fun to watch as they play in the forest canopy. A network of shady forest trails provide botanists and butterfly enthusiasts with a rear treat and there is a recorded 335 species of birds
